Though I live in Canada and have my own Brighidine healing path, I believe one is never too old to add to your knowledge, especialy if like me, you are working with plant and tree medicines. I had long wondered if there was a Myrrhophore Tradition connected with Brighid and it turns out that there is enough cross cultural traditions from India, the Middle East and Greece (notably the Bee Priestesses! ) to warrant an affirmative.

There are many trainings and books written about Brighid and some of them are good but they fall short of Draíocht. This training has allowed me to connect to my own magic and for this, my heart shall ever be grateful.

Because I live outside of Ireland, I did the course entirely on-line. The course material was available on the Celtic School of Sound Healing Teachable website, which I completed module by module. The material was very comprehensive and included links to reference articles and suggestions for further reading. Our tutor had also made videos about related activities and exercises. At each Full Moon, there was an online gathering on Zoom, where we got to “see” each other and ask questions. In addition, there was a dedicated Facebook group, so that we could swap notes with fellow students. I found the whole course fascinating and loved the atmosphere of gatherings, even though they were from a distance. Highly recommended for anyone interested in this subject, whether you live in Ireland or not!

I had a knowing one I can’t quiet explain, it was like the feeling of
knowing you’re in the right place, but you are not sure why. That
was until my journey began, once I opened each bottle of oil the
magic began, I wasn’t sure what magic was until I started to feel the
elements coming alive all round me. From the visons of the plant
beings of light which created each drop of oil I was captivated.

My tutor Carmel was my greatest teacher if it weren’t for
her kind heart and honorable boundaries I wouldn’t have succussed.
I have not got enough pages to tell my story but I hope that someday
I will. But for now, my story continues as I walk further into my
devotion of the Divine Feminine on a path alongside the amazing
women of my lineage and those that I've met on my journey. I am
forever grateful to them all for the sharing of their wisdom and love
in times when I needed it. I could feel it from across many waters
and mountains, held in circles of warmth. The fun we had along
the way i will hold dear in my heart forever.
